This is a truly authentic primer color, reproduced from primer remaining on the backside of paint chips from a real German tank. There are various theories and colors written in literature, but RAL colors are unlikely to be the correct primer color. This primer color is proposed based on valuable documents from tanks of the time. It seems that at times this color was also used as is for the interior of the tank.
